Public Transport
It’s easy, cheap and quick to get to and from the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre by Public Transport and there are a number of options.
THE SUPERNATURAL EXPRESS – DIRECT BUS SERVICE
FROM SOUTHERN CROSS STATION, MELBOURNE
The Supernatural Express – a Direct Bus Service with no stopovers or changeovers and no hassles – is a brilliant way to get to and fro the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre with ease; we use and recommend this one.
SATURDAY 7 MARCH 2015
Two different departure times are available on Saturday – 7am and 12 midday. This service departs from Southern Cross Station bus terminal and travels direct to the festival site bus stop near Reception. Approximate travel time is 1.5 – 2 hours.
MONDAY 9 MARCH 2015
Two different departure times are available on Monday – 10am and 12 midday. This service departs from the festival site bus stop near Reception and travels direct to Southern Cross Station bus terminal. Approximate travel time is 1.5 – 2 hours.
A ticket on The Supernatural Express costs $33 each way.
All services will leave on time. Tickets are non-refundable.
V/Line Train & Bus Services
All train and bus services are operated by V/Line. The V/Line Public Transport timetable can be downloaded here.
From Melbourne:
To get to the festival, take the train from Southern Cross station to Geelong station (approx. 1 hour ride) and at Geelong, catch the connecting Ballarat bus to Meredith Town (approx. 40 min ride). From Meredith Town, a shuttle bus runs to the festival site (10 min ride), coinciding with all V/Line arrivals on Saturday. The shuttle bus costs $5 per person per day.
From Ballarat:
To get to the festival, catch the bus from Ballarat railway station to Meredith (approx. 40 min ride). From Meredith Town, a shuttle bus will run to the festival site (10 min ride) which will cost you $5 per person per day.
GETTING HOME
Catch the shuttle bus from the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre bus stop near Reception to Meredith Town on Monday (approx. 10 mins). The shuttle buses coincide with all V/Line departures from Meredith Town on Monday. You must register for the Monday shuttle buses at the Info Centre (near the Gift Shoppe) by 9pm Sunday night; the cost of the trip is $5 per person per day.
To Melbourne:
Take the shuttle bus from Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre bus stop (remember to book before 9pm Sunday). Then catch the Geelong bus from Meredith Town to Geelong station (approx. 40 mins) and at the station jump on a train to Southern Cross station (approx. 1 hour ride).
To Ballarat:
There will only be one shuttle bus on the Monday that will coincide with the Ballarat timetable. Once in Meredith Town, catch the bus to Ballarat station (approx. 40 mins).
Avalon Airport – Jetstar Passengers
Services between Avalon airport and Geelong, Bellarine Peninsula and the Great Ocean Road are operated by Avalon Airport Shuttle.
One-way trips cost from $18 per adult to Geelong Bus Port.
Door to Door service is available throughout Geelong, Bellarine Peninsula and the Great Ocean Road.
